PROGRAM:
Tour of the Venetian villas in Venice to discover Villa Pisani, Villa Widmann and Villa Contarini
Meeting of clients at the agreed place, departure by VAN. Arrival in STRA’, a town on the Riviera of the
Brenta where is the 18th-century Villa Pisani, the largest on the Riviera completed in the building
main for the election of Alvise Pisani sixth-to-last Doge of Venice; it is decorated in the interior by the
best artists of the Venetian eighteenth century such as IL TIEPOLO. Time at leisure for sightseeing.
We then continue on to Villa Widmann, a jewel of the Brenta Riviera.
Built in the early 18th century by the Serimann family, Venetian nobles but of Persian origin,
the mansion obtained its current form only in the middle of the same century, when it was purchased by the
Widmann family who modernized it by adapting it to French Rococo taste. We find wonderful
frescoes by G. Angeli and G. Mengozzi – Colonna, time at leisure for visiting.
Lunch in a restaurant, with typical Venetian dishes.
In the afternoon departure for Piazzola Sul Brenta to visit Villa Contarini. Castle of the Carraresi
originally, palace of the Contarini family from the mid-1600s, in the second half of the 1600s large
palace and “guesthouse” of the Venetian republic, a place of festivals and artistic and musical invention.
At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the palace of Piazzola became a city of industry and labor, a place
Of Paolo Camerini’s construction of industrial utopia. After a long period of neglect
after World War II, since 1970 the Villa has been reopened to the public thanks to restorations promoted and
supported by Giordano Emilio Ghirardi and the tutelage of the Ente Ville Venete (now the Regional Institute).
Time at leisure for sightseeing. Upon completion, return trips with arrival in the evening.
